Electric City Creative began as a free online arts magazine about the Great Falls, Montana area, before we shifted into creating events, rather than merely reporting on them. We published seven PDF-based issues (with the option to purchase from MagCloud) from July 2010 until February 2012.
I was the editor in charge of layout, at least half of the writing, and a music column called “Liner Notes.”
Tyson Habein covered the remainder of the writing, as well as the bulk of the photography. ECC‘s logo is by John Dalke.
SPOKE(a)N(e) Magazine (AKA “Spoken Spokane”) was very similar to Electric City Creative in that it was an arts and culture PDF-based magazine, this time featuring the Spokane, Washington area. We published fourteen issues from January 2009 until March 2010, when we handed over the publication to editor Michael McMullen.
I was co-editor in charge of some layout, at least half of the writing, and a music column called “Compulsive Chronicles.”
Tyson Habein did more layout in the early issues, the remainder of the writing, and most of the photography.
